On 30 October 2009, the European Commission (DG Health and Consumers) is organising in Brussels a conference on 'Influenza at the interface between humans and animals.' Registration will be closed Friday 23 October 2009 at midnight.
The conference has been organised within the framework of the EU Veterinary week 2009, which promotes the "One Health" concept, linking animal and human health. The recent occurrence of influenza A (H1N1) has indeed highlighted this link and the importance of veterinary and medical sectors working in a coordinated manner.
