On behalf of the Network of Excellence for Epizootic Disease Diagnosis and Control, EPIZONE, we invite scientists and stakeholders, to participate in our
3rd EPIZONE Annual Meeting
“Crossing Borders”
12-15 May 2009, Antalya, Turkey, hosted by SAP
The aims of this Annual Meeting are to discuss recent issues and new developments concerning epizootic animal diseases, to stimulate cooperation and to create vast opportunities for networking, scientific exchange and discussions. We shall provide a challenging scientific programme with plenary lectures by invited speakers and selected oral and poster presentations. All presentations will be related to recent research in epizootic diseases of cattle, swine, poultry, sheep, fish or horses in the fields of the EPIZONE themes.
EPIZONE intends to generate a worldwide network of highly qualified scientists that develop new strategies and tools to face new challenges in the fight against epizootic diseases. The slogan ”Crossing borders” relates to our special topic this year, emerging and transboundary diseases, as well as international networking and its extra value, our network’s mission and a prerequisite to control epizootic diseases.

EPIZONE half day parallel sessions 13th and 14th May 2009
On epizootic diseases of ruminants, epizootic diseases of pig and poultry and on the EPIZONE themes: diagnostics, vaccine development, risk assessment, surveillance and epidemiology.
Delegates are invited to send in abstracts to present their latest research results on epizootic animal diseases within the EPIZONE themes and especially on emerging and transboundary diseases. Oral and poster presentations will be selected from the submitted abstracts by the Scientific Committee
EPIZONE has an ambition to expand this Annual Meeting and offer related projects in the field of Animal Health a place to meet and present their projects. We believe that by combining meetings for EPIZONE and related projects we stimulate “crossing borders” by interaction and collaboration. We kindly invite related projects to meet us in Turkey.
