Abstracts can be submitted via the abstract submission system, prepared in MS Word documents as per instructions provided in the template. Abstract topics can be seen below. In addition, instructions for abstract preparation are also given below.

Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.

To ensure assessment of the abstract and inclusion in the EPIZONE 2023 programme, registration of the presenting author, with payment, must be completed.

Notification of abstract acceptance will be communicated by March 10, 2023.

Instructions for abstracts preparation

  • The abstracts should be written in English language and structured with subtitles (abstracts for the plenary and most of the invited lectures may or may not be structured, as appropriate; If not structured, they should be a single paragraph without indents).
  • The main text, author names, and keywords in Calibri 12 point; title in Calibri 14 pt, affiliations in 11 pt font. Paper size A4, equal margins of 2.5 cm on all sides. Paragraphs justified, with single-line spacing and with 0 pts spacing before/after paragraphs.
  • The abstract text should not exceed 400 words and must fit onto one page. If you would like to insert a figure (one maximum) please use the command and as an enhanced metafile for ease of handling.
  • A small table can be inserted instead. Both, the figure or small table should be inserted below the text of the abstract (including keywords and funding sources). If a figure or table are included, take note that all of your abstract must fit onto one page.

Incorrect formatting may result in your abstract being returned to you for corrections.

The abstract will not be reviewed, so the authors take full responsibility for the text of the abstract and English language clarity or correctness.

The Scientific Committee will select a limited number of good-quality poster abstracts for a short oral presentations of 5 minutes.

Rules for submission

Please read the submission rules before submitting an abstract:

  • Abstracts must be submitted online via the website only.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • The abstracts will be presented as oral presentations or as posters. The preferred mode of presentation may be marked, but the final decision rests with the Scientific Committee.
  • Abstracts should be submitted as MS Word documents prepared as per instructions provided in the template.
  • The submitted version of the abstract will be the final one, subsequent changes will not be possible.
  • Each participant may be a presenting author of a maximum of two presentations at the Conference.
  • Presenting authors must be registered participants. To register, the presenting author must first submit an abstract and get the Abstract ID.
  • Please note also that abstract presenters must pay the full appropriate fee.
