A certificate of attendance will be provided to all registered attendants at the registration desk.

Visa Requirements
Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. We suggest you contact local Serbian Consulate for official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that may apply to you. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required. Please check here if you need visa and if you need a passport or you may enter Serbia with an ID.

Official Letter of Invitation
Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or EPIZONE2023 to provide any financial assistance. Any expenses incurred in relation to the visa application are the sole responsibility of the participants. Furthermore, following the guidelines stipulated by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we are able to provide official invitation letters to participants only when the following conditions are met:

  • Participants have an accepted abstract
  • Conference Registration Fee has been paid
  • Participants can be verified to represent an internationally recognized organisation

Telephone Code
To call a foreign country from Novi Sad, please dial the international code 00, then the country area code, the city area code (without 0) and, finally, the telephone number of the subscriber.
Important notice: Serbia is not in EU, therefore there is a roaming rate for cell phones as soon as you enter Serbia. Don’t forget to turn off your mobile data in order to avoid big expenses!

Time Zone
The time zone in Serbia is Central European Time (CET) (UTC plus 1 hour).

Currency
The Serbian currency is the Serbian Dinar (RSD). Credit cards (Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard) are accepted in most shops, and ATMs are widely available in downtown Novi Sad. You can use Visa, Visa Electron, Plus, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro and Cirrus branded cards to withdraw money from an ATM. Novi Sad ATMs require 4-digit pin codes.

Electricity
As in most cities of continental Europe, the electricity voltage in Novi Sad is 220 V. Electrical outlets are standard European.

Weather in April in Novi Sad
The average maximum daytime temperature in Novi Sad in April lies at 18.5°C (65.3°F) while the average minimum temperature (at night) is 6.3°C (43.34°F). The amount of rain in this month is moderate with an average of 47mm (1.9in). It rains a total of 12 days. If you enjoy looking at a blue sky and love the sun than this is a great time to go to Novi Sad with 204 hours of sun.

So what to wear in April? Bring a rain jacket just in case since it will be raining a few days during this period. Plan on layering your clothes. Some days or part of the day it will be nice and warm and some moments it can be a bit chilly. At night it can still cool off so best to pack some warmer nightwear as well.

Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance, including COVID-19.
