Travel grants to visit anual meeting

This year, EPIZONE can supply five travel grants of up to 750€ for young scientists to come to the EPIZONE annual meeting in Uppsala.

If you would like to receive a travel grant, an application letter should be sent to the EPIZONE administration office and must include the following information:

• Name of the young scientist involved
• Requested amount of money
• Estimated costs of the travel
• Ground for the application

And

• Must be undersigned by the head of the institute

A young scientist is:

• a PhD student
• a postdoc or other within 5 years after getting the PhD degree
• a beginning career scientist in the first 5 years of his/her career
• working for an EPIZONE member institute

Applicants who have submitted an abstract will have a better chance to be selected (the abstract can be submitted later than your application for the travel grant, but it will be checked if you submitted).

Deadline for application: May 8, 2024. Applicants will be informed about the decision before the early bird deadline for registration for the meeting.

Note that the travel grant will be paid to your institute and not to the young scientist him/herself.
